Well research but a difficult read

This book was required for a graduate class. Be warned this is a very dense textbook. I consider myself a skilled reader with a good vocabulary, but I found myself rereading many sections of this book. It was difficult, and at times confusing, to derive meaning. It is well researched, but I needed other sources to supplement it. The Book arrived a day ahead of schedule, and was in very good condition.

Comprehensive Coverage of Theories of Learning and Instruction

This text provides a very comprehensive coverage of the theories of learning for instruction. I gained tremendous insight of the various theories from behaviorism to constructivism. I particularly appreciated the application of the various theories to the story of "Kermit and the Keyboard" throughout the text. Definitely resourceful if you are coming to educational psychology for the first time or revisiting it.

There is a lot of great information in this publication, however Driscoll's writing style is long-winded and requires the student to re-read the page several times to figure out what she's trying to say. Keep it simple, Driscoll!
