To many inconsistencies

This was a quick read that has a lot of inconsistencies that drive me up a wall. A little editing is needed also especially when the male character Kaleb is called Keigan. At the beginning of the book he has blond wavy hair and three pages later its brown. They are three years apart however it reads that she is 14 and he is 15 at the time she flash's her boobs at him in a flashback scene. Olivia starts working for her step brother as an intern for his fathers company. They begin an "arrangement" of sex only for the summer before she goes back to college. Naturally by the end of this time they have fallen for each other. The story isn't bad if you can get past the inconsistencies

A lot of Fun & So HOT!

I really enjoyed this book. Kaleb is a bad boy and Olivia is a good girl, perfect grades, one past boyfriend, etc. But these two both secretly desire one another and what makes their attraction and later sex with one another more naughty is the fact that they are stepbrother and stepsister.

For the summer they are working together and their bedrooms at home are right next to one another.

Sex between these two is off the charts and Kaleb keeps their sexual encounters frequent and very varied.

This book is also well written and flows really well.

Olivia and Kaleb are adults. I think it said Kaleb was three years older? He's a bad boy, into superficial things, and she's the goody two shoes, set for college, working as a minimum wage intern at her stepfather's company, under her stepbrother.

The entire books revolves around the summer fling they share, but holds little plot other than going circles around Olivia going to college, and a slight embezzlement evil that briefly makes an appearance.

It's not the most intriguing stepbrother romance, but it's a good read.

Engineering Design: A Systematic Approach -- Review

This book is very good, especially at the soft cover price of about 50 dollars. You can't beat that price for the information you get.
The book is a translation (translated by Ken Wallace) of a german book by Pahl and Beitz.
The presents a comprehensive systematic approach to engineering design and is HIGHLY referenced in academic publications regarding engineering design.
The text is clearly worded, the graphics are good (and numerous) and the index is excellent.

Perfect for the beginner who wants a gentle introduction

I've worked through quite a few beginner Old English grammar books, and I feel this one is the best for the absolute introduction. The book is designed in the newer style of both diving directly into passages, as well as only using text from official sources. The older style of outlining male noun declension, or strong verb type I declension then expecting rote memorization, is not found here. We learn a portion of a grammatical structure, see it in use with some gloss words, and then slowly expand. Every few chapters the completed block of inflections or pronouns is displayed for future reference. Additionally after every chapter, there are some exercises to complete which is a great help.

I'm mildly on the fence about the best learning style. Now that I've moved into Gothic, the book I'm using picks a single declension, some vocabulary and then has you work through a few pages of exercises. I think it comes down to where you are as a language learning. This book on Old English was perfect for knowing absolutely nothing about the subject (the Old English in 5-minutes intro sold me), but now that I'm comfortable with older language styles and all the inflections needed, I think I'd be frustrated by not getting all the pieces to the puzzle upfront. I'd also like some examples that perhaps illustrated the grammatical lesson in its various forms rather than finding examples in biblical text or the Chronicle. I know that using genuine Old English text is a good thing, but sometimes you need that weak feminine dative case shown even if it doesn't happen to exist for the given word.

learning quickly

This seems like an excellent text. I'm in chapter five now, and I seem to be learning quickly. The author does a good job at hitting the key concepts to get you to learn to read old english quickly. i like that he does this by exclusively using texts written originally in old english in the middle ages, rather than modern reconstructions. as an added bonus, many of them are quite beautiful.

According to the older one's teacher, gifted kids are drawn to factual text. I double-checked and there is no duplication of either text or pictures between this and The Great Dinosaur Search. The Mechanical Engineering Handbook provides extensive coverage on the fundamental topics and emerging issues involved in mechanical engineering, from the structure of solids to virtual reality.
Each chapter has a detailed table of contents, most contain graphs, figures, references, and a bibliography to aid the reader's comprehension.
Several chapters in this handbook were found to be particularly engaging: "What the Law Requires of an Engineer" provides examples and case studies to clarify topics such as hazard analysis; and, "Electronic Information Resources: Your On-line Bookshelf," discusses why tapping into technical information can help engineers avoid mistakes.
The final section of the handbook, "Management, Finance, Quality, Law, and Research," strays from the traditional ideas of a professional desk reference. It deals with a variety of topics not dealt with in similar works. For example, the chapter "Managing People" explains motivation and barriers to team performance.
